In GTK versions of PuTTY, the keys on the small keypad above the arrow keys (Ins/Del, PgUp/PgDn, Home/End - also known as the 'nav cluster') could potentially misbehave or fail to work.
While the relevant code has to do with handling the Alt modifier specifically, the bug invoked C undefined behaviour; the way this manifested as originally reported on Debian testing/unstable in bug #1087844 was that none of the keys emitted any sequence at all when pressed without modifiers.
(This bug has been latent since 0.78, but only started manifesting in Debian very recently, probably due to a toolchain change. We haven't noticed anyone else reporting it, but it could potentially have manifested in different ways in different builds.)
