For anonymous web surfing two components are required:
JonDo is the proxy program and it will hide your IP address (Java application).
JonDoFox is a profile for the Mozilla Firefox particularly optimized for anonymous and secure web surfing.
At first download both setup files JonDoSetup.paf.exe and JonDoFox.paf.exe. Afterwards you have to start the setup by doubleclick on the downloaded files and follow the installation wizards.
You can choose between desktop installation an installation on a removable USB device for take away.
The usage of portable installation (for take away on USB flash drives) doesn't leave any traces on your computer. A portable Java JRE will be installed for JonDo too and a portable Firefox will be installed for JonDoFox. It automatically integrates with the PortableApps menu.
The desktop installation will install both tools on your computer and will create startup icons on the desktop and in the program menu. It will check for a suitable Java JRE. If it was not found the installation assistant will offer the installation of ORACLE Java JRE (formerly Sun JRE).
Think about your preferred installation before you start the setup wizards. Full step-by-step tutorials for install of JonDo and JonDoFox:
