Google Reader is an online news aggregator that can be found at http://google.com/reader. To use it you need a Google user account. Using Google Reader you can read news feeds from every PC everywhere you are as long as you have a web browser.
Liferea as a desktop aggregator cannot provide the global accessibility a web application Google Reader. It needs to be installed and configured on every PC you use. Also it ensures no synchronisation between the different installations.
Using Google Reader you can workaround this situation. You can subscribe to your Google Reader account from all your Liferea installations and will have synchronous feed lists and item states everywhere. At the same time you can still use a web browser to log in to Google Reader directly if you are at a public terminal for example.
Shortly after subscribing the feed list of your Google Reader account should appear and items should be retrieved.
